Fake-rounder shoulders. Real-has squared shoulders, white backstitch and the outside W’s have tags into the bottom border. Real-arrow nearly touches the right W. The 205 seems to be scarcer than other fakes.

There was controversy about the F1. It was rumored to have been made by a funeral home director in southern, Ky. He went to school in northern OH and seems to be the individual who traded most 205’s.

Fake-rounded = head. Fake-the legs of the turtle are curved into the shell. Real-pointed head, the right leg extends down, and the top front flipper is out. Back of the real issue has white back stitch in the turtle.

This 306F1 fake is so good it has generally ruined the value of the real 306. Especial if laundered.

Note the distance from the lettering to the top border. Real has more white backstitching

You can judge for yourself, the 331 is almost a perfect fake. I had a difficult time finding one that we knew was authentic. Thanks Johnnie Pleasants.

Fake-seam in white behind name, slash for an eye on fake. Real-O in name totally on the grass. Fake- the grass has more distinct “waves”, (especially noticeable on the back).

Fake-the WWW touches the bottom of the eagle. There are threads in the name from the I to the brown on the fake. Real-the thread is from the U. Fake-the head of the snake touches the M.
